Kai-Cheih Hu is a distinguished professor of the Department of Business Administration, Soochow University, Taiwan. He previously served as the dean of international affairs for the university, the associate dean of the School of Business and the chairman of the Department of Business Administration. His main areas of expertise are service marketing management, consumer behavior, and strategic management. He has published academic papers in some significant journals (SSCI, SCIE, EI, and TSSCI). He has been involved in National Science Council research projects for many years and serves as a peer reviewer for various significant academic journals. He has received numerous awards, including the National Science Council's Special Outstanding Talent Award for Higher Education Institutions, the 2022 Transportation Society Annual Meeting Civil Aviation Transportation and Technology Paper Award, the Best Paper Award from the Journal of Quality (EI) in 2017, the Best Paper Award at the 2017 ICABML Conference, the 2013 Taiwan Road Association Paper Award, and the Outstanding Research Paper Award in Public Transportation in 2004/2001. He has been awarded the "Teaching Excellence" award for the academic years 2013, 2017, and 2020 by Soochow University, as well as the "Dedicated Advisor" award for the academic year 2020 and the "Outstanding Mentor" award for the academic year 2021. In terms of external services, he has served as the Chairman of the international academic organization Asian Logistics Round Table (ALRT), an examiner for the Examination Yuan, as well as a reviewer and consultant for various entities including the Ministry of Education, the National Science Council, the Department of Digital Development (Digital Industry Development Agency), the Ministry of Economic Affairs (Industrial Development Bureau, Department of Commerce, Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection, Bureau of Foreign Trade), the Ministry of Labor (Department of Labor Force Development), the Directorate General of Highways under the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, Taipei City Government (Department of Economic Development, Department of Information and Tourism, Department of Commerce), Taitung County Government (Tourism and Travel Bureau), and more.
