Mei-Ying Liu is a professor of the Department of Business Administration, Soochow University, Taiwan. She previously served as a staff in Bank of Communication, Taipei and Chairperson of the Department of Business Administration. Her main areas of expertise are Financial Risk Management, Financial Institution Management and Portfolio Management. She has published academic papers in some significant journals (SSCI and TSSCI). She has involved in National Science Council, Council for Economic Planning and Development, The Taiwan Stock Exchange Co., Taiwan Futures Exchange, Chung Hwa Post Co. research projects for many years and serves as a peer reviewer for various significant academic journals. She has received numerous awards, including the Award of the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society, the Best PhD Dissertation Award of the Investment Association and the Outstanding Research and Mentor Award of the Business Administration Foundation, Soochow University. In terms of external services, she served as a moderator in the European Financial Management Association Annual Meetings, an examiner for the Examination Yuan, an consultant of the TEJ VaR system, a member of Remuneration Committee of Taiwan Cogeneration Co., as well as a reviewer for various entities including the Ministry of Education, Securities & Futures Institute and the Best Paper Award of TOPCO Scientific Co.. She serves as an Independent Director, a committee convener of the Risk Management Committee and the Audit Committee of a Financial Institution
